The David Cassidy Group Of Great Britain, November 21st, London.

Thank you so much Sharron  for writing for us about The David Cassidy Group of Great Britain's  special meeting. It means a lot for those who couldn't be in London on November 21st. And thank you Pauline for writing how St Giles and that area in London is so important for David Cassidy fans.

Sharron Liddle : 'Meeting up with friends in London to Remember David Cassidy on the Fourth Anniversary of his sad passing was extra special as we hadn't been able to see each other for a few years due to covid.

We stayed at the St Giles Hotel as we usually do as it's the area that we have connected up with David's memorials and tributes, which began at the Phoenix Theatre.

At the hotel restaurant, Hudson's we have a lovely picture of David hanging on the wall. This year, the restaurant set up our table of 14 with the picture placed proudly at the top so we could sit and look at it whilst we talked and enjoyed each other's company. Many conversations with each other about our special memories of David, all of us wearing our DC regalia. A wonderful moment when Anita presented me with a beautiful DC watch, I'll will treasure it always. David's fans are so kind and generous.

We visited the St Giles church and signed David's fan book with messages of love and how we miss him. The highlight was that we got to meet the lovely people from the charity that we recently supported for the homless and some of the people that a church and the charity make a difference.

We visited the Phoenix Garden and David's plaques, and we also had a special visit to the Royal Festival Hall where we have two Seat plaques to remember David.

After spending 2 lovely days together we decided that we would organise another get together for next April. Lots of ideas and I'm sure whatever we decided to arrange, David's fans will be supportive as they always are. Without the support of fans, we wouldn't be able to support such wonderful charities in David's memory.

So, I would personally like to take this opportunity to say thank you to David's fans for helping us remember David with respect, love and kindness. Also to say thank you to my admin girls that work so hard on a daily basis to keep The David Cassidy Group of Great Britain a respectful and loving place to remember David.'

Pauline Tombs : '21st of November, a sad anniversary remembered but with the love and light, we know was in the heart of the man, we remember, David Cassidy.

Our Journey with St Giles in the Fields began, just a few short weeks, after the unveiling of the David Cassidy Memorial Plaque, at the Phoenix Theatre.  Stumbling across this beautiful old church was the beginning of something very special!

When Fans travel to London it gives them a place to quietly remember and share a message in the memorial book.

Since the pandemic it became difficult but the church remained supportive,  with the memorial tables being in place at birthdays and anniversaries during this period. This recent anniversary 21/11/21, many fans gathered to remember David Cassidy.

They lit candles, shared memories of the years gone by, of when they were young and more recent too and how having David Cassidy in their lives, made a difference to them and does to this day. This time of year although extremely sad, conjures up a warmth of togetherness and one I feel sure David Cassidy, would be happy to know,  the difference it makes, to so many others,  in sharing the talent of and the love felt for this man, who captured those young hearts 50 years ago!

So we remembered together and honoured together, to be inclusive of others who could not join us, we set up an event page and did some live videos. A difference was made, in particular with the theme of the Homeless, supporting charities connected to the church, Simon Community and Shower box and also the Phoenix Foundation in Liverpool and for our Star, we lit a star on a tree for a children’s hospice and sponsored a hearing Dog Puppy named Star! '
