'David Cassidy Owned And Worn Jumpsuit..'
There is a section on the David Cassidy Official Website called Biography. It consists of the following parts : Biography (a short one). The Early Years (just a few pics), Charities and Fundrising, Racing, Interesting Facts (a little mess there), Public Speaking, Public Appearances and Awards.
This evening while doing sth for the website I've had to look at Charities and Fundrising. Wow so many events, I'm sure not everything is listed. And I've left my work and started reading. Just amazing. The events organized by DC and Sue, 'A Day At The Races', or 'The David Cassidy Golf Tournament', Kosovo Children, Voices That Care, Stand And Be Proud...
'Sondheim a Celebration', that concert took place on March 8, 1996, and it was to benefit the AIDS Service Centre and AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Very special, important event for DC, also because that evening he sang with his brothers, Shaun and Patrick ('You Can Drive a Person Crazy'). And he sang once more, solo. 'Sooner Or Later' from 'Dick Tracy', and this is sth absolutely special, his amazing, sensual interpretation. We have a great quality recording of that performence on the website..
The charity auctions, where so many DC's personal items were sold. His concerts' outfits, as they were called: 'David Cassidy Owned And Worn Jumpsuits', how well we know them from thousands of pics. The one with Aztec Figure and 'embroidered sunburst to the right buttock'. How wonderfully DC looked in it in London, in 1973, and how not attractive it was on the mannequin..It was sold in May 2013 for $ 15.000. All proceeds from that sale were donated to the Alzheimer's Association of America. You can see the list of the items, how they looked like and the prices at which they were sold.
