'We Wish This Could Be Forever'

Maybe in 2001 David Cassidy didn't play 7 shows a week, but instead he travelled a lot. In the U.S., and that year he also flew to the UK several times. He recorded his album at Decca studio in Wimbledon, he took part in tv programmes and last but not least, he had a sold out mini tour. Let's start from 2 great David Cassidy's tv performances in the UK.
He couldn't sing his great hit live on this legendary programme in the 70s..

What an amazing timeless pop classic, Wes Farrell knew how to write a hit..And here is DC enthusiastically received on another English programme..This is my number 1 of his live  performances from 2001, how I wish I could have been in audience. DC at his best. Magic..I love this.

A lot was written about DC's concerts in 2001, in the U.S. and in the UK. That he still looked great, sang very well, David said that at last there was a balance in his life , and that he came to terms with his teen idol's past. That he was so happy doing concerts again : 'It's an indescriable experience. It's something I can't articulate because it's difficult to define. But it keeps me loving what I do. It's not a job.(May24th, 2001, Reno Gazette Journal'

So in November David was in the UK again .He played sold out tour - Nov9th - Manchester, Nov11th- Glasgow, Nov14th - Newcastle, Nov16th and 17th - London..And those concerts were great..Glasgow concert and ..Hush

'We wish this could be forever', it was what fans were saying after a concert at Newcastle City Hall : 'The atmosphere was electric when Cassidy 51, took the stage. Most fans were women of the certain age who needed no encouragment to step back in time with the man who used to adorn their bedroom walls. Cassidy didn't disappoint, and by the end of the night underwear and flowers were being hurled on stage at him.' (November15th, 2001, The Evening Chronicle, Newcastle)

'..he still looks good. Yes, the famous shaggy hairstyle was disappeared (..) but it was still our darling David up there and I was surprised to discover he  actually has a jolly good voice. I had never heard him sing before, I was always screaming you see.(..) And with an encore of the spine-tingling How Can I Be Sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house' (David's a darling - 30 years on', Karen Stephen , Bolton Evening News )
