This is a classic rock - blues song. Wrote in 1936 as 'Cross Road Blues' ,and Eric Clapton with Cream popularized it in the late 60s. David Cassidy always loved Eric Clapton's music and his guitar playing, and he often performed that song on stage.

DC's concerts' reviews .. It's amazing how they were always personal. DC said once that people loved him or hated him, no middle ground..  'sang too fast', 'not a concert but an- all out filtration from start to finish' , 'talked too much' , 'too much conversation with the audience' ,'what  for acoustic ?' , 'why not more acoustic?' , 'why new arrangments for old hits?', 'an awful white shirt', 'he looked great in white shirt', every person , fan or not fan had own expectations and own ideas about him, and how DC's concert should have looked like. And those astonished comments.' he had real vocal ability' .'I never realized that DC was such rock and roller' , 'he is a very talented guitarist in his own right' , '..but voice is still great' , 'his voice in fine form..' . But in 2010 David Cassidy wasn't in good form. He appeared on many tv programmes, and sometimes he looked so tight, his hair was too dark, too much makeup, very tired eyes. He was at the crossroads in his career..in his life..

2010 was to be very special. David Cassidy's 60th birthday and TPF's 40th anniversary. There were a lot of articles about David's contributions to the pop culture. Not only his music, but also his image, his unforgettable style , a true 70's icon.

He didn't play many concerts that year, started in February , with Davy Jones again..A critic's review : 'Cassidy kept telling the crowd how much he loves them and adores them..but he doesn't rehearse. 'Point Me In The Direction..' the guy who made it a hit couldn't be bothered to remember the lyrics..was not able to get through 'In My Life' without flubs..had a lot of sound problems. But it was his willful, downright boastful lack of personal preparation that grated. On the up scale, Cassidy's voice is in fine form..' On March 2nd on NBC's The Today Show, in the series Great TV Families Reunited appeared David, Danny, Brian and Suzanne..Shirley was on tour , and no one had any contact with Susan. David said looking straight at the camera ' We still love ya'

As I've written in the last post , on June 2010 Allison Pearson's book was published and became an international bestseller. David liked the book very much .

In October a new list of the very popular show called 'The Celebrity Apprentice' for 4th season in Spring 2011 was announced...with David Cassidy. It was something new, bc DC many times said , that he couldn't imagine himself compete on such shows. He agreed because of the chance to support the charity of his choice with some really big money. His mother , Evelyn had dementia, and David wanted to win money for an Alzheimer's &  Dementia charity.

But that year had a bad ending. On November 3rd , at about 8pm, DC was arrested in Florida, on suspicion of DUI, after he was seen weaving off the road in his car, and an empty bottle of bourbon was found in his 2008 Mercedes. He told the police that he was tired, had a hydrocodone tablet earlier. He was released next morning at 3.20 am on a $350 bond...
