In My Life /John Lennon and Paul McCartney

It's not going to be easy writing about the last DC's years. But I think they are very important part of his legacy. The lesson for us how not to give up when life become difficult. The way DC dealt with those problems, the way he faught to the end , fans watched his struggles and supported him. And he had a lot of very serious , written a lot about in tabloids , personal, financial and health problems. Suddenly again the future was unknown and scary..another crossroad

'I never say never. (..) I love to play (music) , travel and act, but I want to use whatever time I have left for something different.' (Oct. 27th, 2011 , N.Dunham : DC takes the stage on last time, washingtonexaminer.com)

Evelyn Ward, his mother, once so beautiful and full of life..she was 88 in 2011, and since 2005 had a severe dementia. It was very painful for DC. She needed round the clock care. David was concious that there were a lot, millions baby- boomers who had elderly parents, and they needed help and support. He wanted to do something and rise awareness of this problem and helped to rise funds to find a cure for the illness. In May 2012 he took part in the Alzhaimer's Foundation Of America Educational Conference , as a keynote speaker he delivered 'A Son's Story' . He spoke about the Alzhaimer's on CNN and Fox News. It was different David, very serious and eloquent,  and also very sincere

David Cassidy's concerts in the last decade of his life. They were just amazing, David's voice changed , in a way which let him sing blues and jazz even better, and it was still strong and fabulous voice..It's not easy to find right words describing those concerts .David Cassidy was one of a kind performer, in league of his own. A DC's concert was always a very moving experience for him and his fans. And in 2010's  even more,  because  each concert could have been  the last. And I think those concerts were very important for David too , they let him forget about problems, he felt loved by fans, he really needed that support.

Deb Pasco was at the concert on January 28th, 2011, she also met DC before the gig. 'He is surprisingly small.(..)Up close he looks his age, and yes, his million - watt smile is a killer as it was back in the day.. Watching him perform I wondered how it felt to achieved your greatest success at the age of 20 (..) David - we still know we love you.' 1. Thank you Encarni. This performance of 'In My Life' is truly amazing. So emotional and like he was thinking about each word when singing. For some time I've had troubles with watching those videos (and interviews ) from the 2010's...they were hard to watch. But of course they are great DC's performances. And I'm so grateful that fans in the US and in the UK made those videos and audio recordings..
