I Lost My Chance / Adam Miller

David Cassidy's tv career started in spectacular way in 1969. In 2013 , after nearly 44 years he had his last tv role, on a popular CBS show called 'CSI' , David played a veteran poker player , Peter Coe , a murder victim. That episode was called 'Last Woman Standing' and was aired on February 27th .I've once seen a short fragment of it on YT, but I can't find it now. Maybe it's better , that episode is really drastic ,and DC's character is murdered in an elevator (in a very unpleasant way).. David Cassidy's tv career..some lost chances..Let's listen to this song written by Adam Miller, it's about the lost love of course , but..

He first appeared on The Survivors aired November 7, 1969 , later the same year  was Ironside (Dec25th) , in 1970 - The FBI (Jan4th) , Marcus Welby (Jan13th) , Adam-12 (Feb14th) ..and the next day on Feb 5th - Bonanza , Medical Centre (April 1st) , Mod Squad (April 7th). In May 1970 he started recording first TPF's songs , the pilot was also done. For 4 years DC was Keith Partridge..I know I'm not objective , but I think those early tv roles were very good .David looked so young, vulnerable , and he was noticed and praised for his acting. The boys he played were sensitive youngsters with complicated relationships with their fathers or stepfathers. This is a video with DC on Bonanza.

In 2007 Nov22) an article appeared on MeTvChicago , called "Before David Cassidy was squeaky-clean Keith P. , he was convincing teen rebel'  , this is a fragment  about his role as Billy :

' It's a thrilling emotional performance, and an early signal of how much pure potential this young actor was working with. It also includes breathtaking views where Cassidy fits right in as a young misunderstood rebel cowboy. He looked more like young Clint Eastwood than future Ricky Nelson .(..) Of course , the memory of these early roles , which all aired before the premiere of TPF - quickly faded once Keith P. found the spotlight..'

The rest is history , the superstardom.. after TPF  David didn't want to be on any tv show again,  he returned for the Police Story and Man Undercover , and it should have been a hit, but it wasn't for many reasons..He appeared on some tv shows (in the 80s)  for money, that was the only kind of work he could get..Later he was busy with his stage and Las Vegas career, his music, other projects, David Cassidy was a very busy man. In total 32 credits (including a voice role and an appearance on a German soap opera)..What did he think about his tv career himself ? I have no idea , but I think that this part of his career  wasn't very important  for him.

My favourite , David Cassidy as a Mirror Master. This is a review of that episode of Flash , which includes some great fragments with DC.
