New York City Life /David Cassidy

An amazing, fabulous song from 'A Touch Of Blue' album..When I listen to it..I can imagine Fred and Ginger dancing to it..The lights and splendor and excitement of Broadway. Beautiful, elegant people. New York..the city that never sleeps..New York.. the city I was to visit in April 2020..

I'm so lucky that a new (great) tribute video with that song just has appeared on YT

Amazing track, music and lyrics. David was really a very talented (and sophisticated) lyricist..Just a few words and you know everything, so clear, authentic, personal..His whole career, ups and downs are  in that song, and his love for his native city. And a short but accurate description of LA and his life there. And his voice. Mature and rich and sexy, warm..And the arrangment.. A fabulous song.

David Cassidy loved New York, he talked and wrote about it many times. He debuted on Broadway as a teen, later he performed there again, in the 80s and 90s, working in NY meant a lot for him..Very emotional experience.  Playing Madison Square Garden in his native city, on 11 March 1972, was David Cassidy most prestigous concert ever, also the most important for him.
