'He Was So Pretty You Couldn't Look Away..'

I've wanted to write about something else. Not about young David's beauty.  Actually about the Music Walk Of Fame in Camden Town, in London. I've talked about it with Pauline Tombs, and she's sent me a lot of info. They (MWOF) even last year wrote on their FB page about David, the teen idol, and that unforgettable Weekend At Wembely..

It always amazes me, that difference between David a teen idol, a superstar, so gentle and caring for his young fans, and the real person, so eloquent and aware and sophisticated..Anyway, let's return to Camden's Music Walk Of Fame. and the things I've learn thanks to Pauline.

The London's Music Walk Of Fame was opened in November  2019. When completed, the walk is set  to feature over 400 artists - those important for Camden and also national and international icons, innovators, inspirations, visionaries within the industry and...unsung heroes. So far only 4 artists were honoured - The Who, Madness, Soul II Soul and Amy Winehouse. 400..

Pauline Tombs :'A stone placed for David Cassidy now that would be something! It's up to us to make it known to the committee the impact of David Cassidy on a Generation and bring him to their attention, for consideration. This can be done in message or email on their FB Page!'

On the stone which honours The Who is only the name of the band, and the words 'Icon. London, England. November 2019'..

David Cassidy was one of the biggest teen idols in the history of music. We know also that he was much more, and every day I find new articles and read for I don't know how many times, how huge and important he was..This is a fragment wrote by Aja Romano (Vox) in 2017 :

'David Cassidy was an anomaly in his day, a rare fresh-faced teen idol breaking out in a cultural moment when generational disaffection and cultural anxieties were producing very different rock icons. When people think of '70s singers, they tend to gravitate first to rougher rock icons like Mick Jagger or Sid and Nancy. Yet Cassidy, on the pop side of the '70s was one of the biggest artists of the decade.'

And his beauty?  Kevin Fallon :'He was so pretty you couldn't look away, but he was also sexy in a way that is timeless, not 'Can you believe you ever found that attractive?' but 'Why don't they look like that anymore?'(..) Cassidy, one of the biggest and perhaps most iconic of modern music's teen idols'

Those fragments are from articles found only today.. You are right Pauline, this can be done!

 'David Cassidy. Icon. London..'

This is the petition link. Let's do it !
