Singing For David

When David Cassidy died in November 2017 I thought that sth would be organized in his memory. A concert maybe.. Not on a global scale of course, but so many people all over the world, fans, also  celebrity ones, people who worked with him or his friends, all of them wrote about their sorrow and  sadness and regret  that he'd left us much too soon.

Many, many people, a real tsunami of millions of tweets and posts. It was so devastating and difficult to understand. How it was possible, that someone once so beautiful, someone so loved, who brought such  joy and happiness ..that he died.

I was waiting with  other fans, for something... big. David himself took part in  many charity or tribute concerts during his lifetime. So many in his family could sing, and of course so many of his friends. It couldn't be that complicated and difficult to organize such concert, I thought. Of course money was needed, but millions of fans would have paid for a DVD or an album. I don't know why nothing has happened.. We fans, have done everything what was possible. But I'm still waiting for an album. David recorded an album for his father, he was in such pain but he wanted to do it, why  couldn't his brothers do something like that. Shaun Cassidy sings beautifully 'I'll Meet You Halfway' and 'Tell Me It's Not True'..

And I would love to have one other album. Fans singing for David. Already have 2 candidates for such a tribute record. The first one is an amazing and very moving version of 'Twenty-Four Hours A Day', thought as a tribute song for DC. The author, DrQuizzler wrote - 'As simple as this song is, it's a great testament to the ability of David Cassidy's engaging performance to transcend its simplicity'.

And the second one..I  I had tears in my eyes when I was listening to it for the first time. A fellow fan from our David Cassidy Legacy Great Britain Group. Sandie Leeming singing "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.' .So beautiful and full of love ..
