The Partridge Family Album
Billboard 200 on January 2, 1971. Number 1, George Harrison 'All Things Must Pass', number 4 - The Partridge Family Album. The same day Billboard Hot 100 - number 1, George Harrison again - 'My Sweet Lord', number 6 - I Think I Love You (13 weeks on charts).
So from that first, the most succesful TPF's album - 'Singing My Song / Wes Farrell, Diane Hilderbrand

'um ba de dumba..' but also 'singin' my song and they're sigin' along..' so true, and 'for the love is strong and it can't go wrong..' The love is still strong and we are singing with David after all those years..
The album was recorded on May 11, 1970 (ITILY and Somebody Wants To Love You), May 16, June 11, August 4 and August 5. Released in ..I think it was the end of September of 1970, but I've read many times it was October. Anyway, that album was on Billboard 200 for 68 weeks

I love that review : 'Yes I know what you're probably thinking. You are thinking Ive lost my mind, right? How could I possibly think the '70s sitcom musical family's first album is great? (..) as an example of pure, pleasurable, playful 70's pop it's hard to deny this album's appeal.(..) there is just something special about it. TPF or rather members of the group of studio musicians collectively known as The Wrecking Crew and the pop vocal group The Love Generation were firing on all cylinders on this album.
It was discovered that David Cassidy, who played the oldest Partridge son, could sing, so he provides lead vocals for most of the songs. I think the album is great. (Great Album Retro Review : TPF Album by TPF and a few other Musicians / Jim Fitzsimons, Nov 8th, 2018)

Of course it's a great album. It's only so hard to think that it was so many years ago. From The Wrecking Crew only Dennis Budimir ( born in 1938) and Louie Shelton (born in 1941) still live.
