Amazing concert, and I've got a link to it some days ago from my American friend, Judy. Of course it's also on YT, but I haven't seen it for some time and it's been emotional watching today. 

Those 2015's concerts are special, each one of them . And that year he performed 12 times. Here is 'C'mon Get Happy', B.B. King Blues Club, January 10

B.B. King Blues Club..David Cassidy performed in it in 2011,2012, 2013, 2015, 2016..and he played his last ever concert there, March 4, 2017. To play  in that blues club, situated in the heart of New York City's Times Square, it meant a lot for him. His native city and B.B. King. 17 year old David saw B.B. King in concert in LA, and was allowed to carry the famous 'Lucille', the B.B. King's guitar.This club, so dear for any DC fan, was closed in April 2018.. 

If someone happened to be at any of these concerts from 2015, they would think they are watching a great blues artist, happy to share his music..'Sweet Little Angel'.

'A teen idol and a singer for little girls'..Really. Amazing, outstanding artist, and truly speaking I don't understand why some fans (I know such) don't want to watch those last concerts, all 2015's performances are so special, because in 2014 looked like DC would give up. That year he played only 6 gigs.

On Friday night, January 10, 2014 he was arrested after being stopped for an illegal turn in LA. He blew 19% which was twice the legal limit..One month later Sue filed for divorce. The same month he decided to shut his FB page because of nasty comments, but eventually he changed his mind.

He stated :' In response to the hundreds of emails and messages from supportive and loving fans begging me not to shut my FB page I have decided to keep it..to give you updates but not to take anybody else's post. I won't be doing any more concerts in the near furure except for what is up on my website..I need to have this time to reintroduce myself to my sober life and to necessary work to clean up the past. God Bless. David Cassidy.'

'..don't turn away'..it's still heartbreaking to listen (and watch). Such an amazing, sincere performance.

He was ordered to rehab, gave later on April 22, 2014 that painful, emotional interview for Piers Morgan on CNN, and Piers, also very moved, let him felt at ease and let him speak. It was an emotional confession made in a very humble way by the man who obviously felt very lost and lonely. But David didn't give up and returned in 2015. He looked older, he had a lot of health problems, on some pics is just painful to see how his eyes were sad, but he still sang in great voice, those concerts were fantastic. After his performance at B.B. King (January 10), Bobby Getchell jr wrote an review for the website :

We witnessed a vocal showcase as he proved how well his voice is, still after 40 years. David talked to his crowd as if we were old friends sitting at the table having a coffee with him. (..) Total class act. This man, David Cassidy still has it.'

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing today's blog just to gossip about DC's private life, it's because I always admired that amazing woman, Kay Ann Lenz. She had birthday yesterday. 3 years younger than David, a few years older than a typical DC's fan.  In the 70s I heard quite a lot about Kay Lenz . She was very popular in Poland, like the rest of the cast of 'Rich Man, Poor Man'. They Said I Changed A Lot..

Let's first listen to something which was not released, why they didn't want David singing that song is a great mystery for me. Listening to his young, sincere, innocent and magical voice is one in a kind moving experience. 'I Just Hated Being In The Show..'

Last week someone posted a screenshot of the article from May 1974, unfortunately without the date or the name of the paper. Written by a popular journalist Roderick Gilchrist, I think it was Daily Express. We can read that this interview took place at London Weekend Television's Building, on the day before the DC's last concert in Manchester.  And David said, "I feel like the door to the cage has just been opened. And, any minute now I'm going to be able to fly right away from my prison.
