Johnny Cymbal,( born in 1945 as John Hendry Blair) a Scottish- born American songwriter, producer and a singer. For a while a teen idol himself, after writing and recording that song. .

With his wife Peggy Clinger he wrote some songs for The Partridge Family. Peggy, a beautiful brunette, in the late 60s performed with her 3 sisters. She was born in 1949, died in 1975 of drug overdose. Johnny in 1993 of a heart attack..Here is Peggy in the lead performing with 'The Clingers'.

For The Partridge Family they wrote together -  'It's All In Your Mind' (Shopping Bag), with Wes Farrell - 'Love Must Be the Answer' (Notebook), 'I Got Your Love All Over Me' (Crossword Puzzle) and from that last album also 'It's You'..'Hello baby, yes it's me again once more..'  Magic..

And they also wrote a song  first released by David Cassidy. From his second solo album. Number 38 in the USA and # 11 in the UK. I love that fragment from the Richard Philips-Jones' review :

Let's watch  DC and..his famous boots. He looked incredible in that video, and I bet he had a lot of fun. Poor French cameraman didn't know what he liked best..David's boots or his long, shiny beautiful hair, or maybe his outfit..Just wonderful..David..the one and only..

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971..And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago..And I really felt sad yesterday because of Robyn.
