'Song Of Love' / Adam Miller

This song is just wonderful and its lyrics as if specially written for David.

'People everywhere seem to think, I won't survive one day I'll sink. Well, I guess I value less what they think..Than the song that I sing and the hope that it brings..' Maybe not very sophisticated, but so true. And the video with this song is really outstanding..

Wow..behind the scenes of TPF, so precious.

"Song Of Love' was written by Adam Miller, and as the readers of my blog know, I have a little obsession on this man. Maybe not an obsession, but I really, really want to know more about him. And I'm not the only one, and at least recently have found a review of his album from 1972 (and waiting for an answer from the author of it)

What a title, 'Who Would Give His Only Song Away', and it seems that Adam gave his best songs DC.  He wrote 'Blind Hope', 'I Lost My Chance', 'Where Is The Morning', "Soft As A Summer Shower', 'Song Of Love', and  for TPF - 'As Long As You're There'

Charming..the song and David. And it's happened that in his autobiography DC wrote about every song from Rock Me Baby album. Who wrote them, what he thought about each track, and :

'Song Of Love' and 'Soft As A Summer Shower' were Wes Farrell additions to the album, in an effort to try to lock me into The Partridge Family bag' (David Cassidy: Could It Be Forever?, 2007)

So he didn't appreciate these songs, didn't mention the author a word (I've even started to think at one point that maybe Adam Miller was Wes Farrell's pseudonym), but of course he performed them wonderfully. I understand DC, in 1972 he wanted to sing what he liked not what he was told, and he wanted perform different kind of music not love ballads again, but I love 'Soft As A Summer Shower', his voice is so beautiful in it, so warm, velvety.. someone  wrote in comments a year ago ;' David's voice will give a bright moment in dark days'..

And Adam Miller's album? I've listened to it a little bit. Recorded in 1972 but sounds like made in 1967..maybe. There is sth in his voice,  .but David Cassidy was the best interpreter of his songs..This is my fav Adam's song from 'Who Would Give His Only Song Away'..
