Being Together. David Cassidy Las Vegas Walk Of Stars.

My blog's title is actually 'David Cassidy Being Together', and it was the title of my first entry in December 2020, and I also once wrote about the song itself. Wrote by Tony Romeo, the first song from the first solo David's album. 'Give part of ourselves to somebody else.. It would be our being together again'. Wonderful music and lyrics. A Tony Romeo's masterpiece. And David's great performance.

That first entry had a lot of views, probably most fans thought it was a blog wrote by someone who'd known David personally (and well), not by an ordinary fan from east Europe. But the idea behind that title was keeping us together, David's fans, writing and talking about him. Anyway I'm writing  today another entry with that title. Because these days we are together, David Cassidy and his fans.

Already most fans who have decided to travel, arrived in Las Vegas. They post pics, videos,  we are so happy for them, sure we are with them in spirit, everything is so emotional, watching those pics from Las Vegas, waiting for Tuesday, David's birthday. We are very grateful to the fans who have worked hard to make it happen.

But you know..we are only human, so  I've gone today for my walk not very happy. Sure, I couldn't have gone to Las Vegas, and I can't be in Liverpool on Tuesday..Some fans from  David Cassidy Legacy Great Britain  Group are  meeting there on April12th.

Pauline Tombs has told me a lot about DC's connections with this city

Of course David loved The Beatles, was  John Lennon's friend, but that's not all. In the 90s he learned to talk with a Liverpool accent because  'Blood Brothers' is Liverpool based..He performed there at the Echo Arena, and in later life he ofen sang The Beatles' song , 'In My Life', which had a very personal meaning for him. This time not David, but The Beatles..with the lyrics.

And in July 2021 The David Cassidy Group of Great Britain  ordered and paid for a brick in memory of David Cassidy. The brick with the words - 'In My Life I Love You More', is one of many which make up the People's Path stretching outside the monumental Liverpool Cathedral. A wonderful tribute.

So I've been walking and thinking that I haven't gone to Las Vegas and I will not go to Liverpool, and what a hopless fan I am..feeling little sorry for myself. Sure I will light a candle and will be sitting on my own on DC's birthday..And..a miracle. Sharron Liddle once more made my day. And she's made me smile. What a great video, the messages from those who couldn't go, to those who represent all of us in Las Vegas.

Wherever we are, we are together, David Cassidy and his fans...
