The Lost Tapes and David Cassidy in Conversation with Selina Scott

I have no idea about other known musicians and their websites, but I feel disappointed that so many of DC's tv guest appearances and radio interviews are lost for us ..I'm afraid forever. Of course from time to time sth amazing emerges out of the blue, and I was very excited 2 years ago when Gary published  this video, and I'm grateful in spite of ..

Nearly everyday we have something new. A fan sends some old pics took 50 years ago, or an article no one heard about, or a concert audio. Now there are also podcasts and I think the links to them should be on the website too.

Everything is important. Consider the 70s concerts. Let's say August 13, 1972. 2 concerts at Wildwood Convention Hall, NJ. We have 1 photo and audio from both concerts, only because a fan, Betty Ernst saw DC twice that day and she recorded everything on a cassette tape and Lucio many years later made out of them  digital recordings. Truly amazing experience listening to those screams and  DC trying to perform. And maybe someone will make set lists of those concerts and someone else finds an old ticket  or even writes a review..It's a team work. And needs a lot of patience..and time

David Cassidy's tv guest appearances, so many, but again sometimes we have only a title or a date, or a screenshot. How wish I could see those programes -  March 1973, DC on Estelar Del Sabado.. July 23, 1979, Good Morning America, guests - David Cassidy and Kay Lenz. And we don't have most of the Canadian tv interviewa from 1982 and 1983. Later it's much better, but I don't know if the list is complete.

Why is it so important to have everything? I look at the website as a giant puzzle..and only when you have all the pieces you can see the real picture. The real David, how his career really looked like. The ups and downs. When last year Jay Gruska sent me the full version of the theme song from Man Undercover, my first thought was ' This is just great..David must have been so disappointed'..

TV interviews seem very similar at first glance, after all DC on most of them told the story of his life we know so well, of course the mood of these conversations depended on the type of program. DC in conversation with Selina Scott, this is something really wonderful. At the time Selina was at the peak of her career. She did interviews with everybody, Prince Charles, George Harrison, Bono or Garry Kasparov, very experienced and serious journalist, just 1 year younger than David...and he had her eating out of his hand..very quickly.
