Where Do We Go From Here / Mark James

It's always hard..a day after..whatever it is. Even after happy events like weddings or winning something. I'm a huge tennis fan and recently a brilliant number 1 tennis player Ash Barty has resigned. Because she's won everything she's ever wanted. Barty is only 25.  Or when I finished my book about DC in 2018. I was so happy but also sad..what next? That's the question..What are we going to do now?

Maybe let's listen to DC. I always search for inspiration ..or hope in his music. Yes, 'Blind Hope' seems an obvious choice, but I sing today (to myself) another song..

For such a long time we've been talking about it, preparing, thinking - going or not going, marked out months, later days, hours..and now the goal has been achieved and some fans are already at home and some on their way or leave soon. Wendy Copeland (a fellow fan) wrote - 'I didn't want the day to end'. But everything has its end. And now April12th, 2022 is ..a memory.

Of course this year's David's birthday was really a day to remember, amazing friendships have been made, maybe new ideas emerged..but I wasn't in LV, life is not easy for me at the moment, it's hard to be optimistic.

While walking in the morning I've been thinking about today's blog, and everything I've thought about seemed uninteresting or unimportant. Brian Forster has birthday, tomorrow..who cares really..or I could write about 'This Is Your Life' with Shirley ( April 29th, 1971) or about David Cassidy's the UK tour in 2002, it started 20 years ago on April12th, 2002..But ..all fans know everything about it, and we've seen those videos many times..

But I know that 'tomorrow's gonna bring the sunshine to a brand new day..' (hope so)

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971. And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago.   I was truly sorry and sad yesterday because of Robyn. First 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. The film premiered in the UK 30 years ago, on May 13, 1994.  A low budget film, made in 6 weeks, became unexpected success, all over the world, earned just mountains of money, and made of  Hugh Grant international star. It's also a film with a very strong David Cassidy's connection.  The script was written by Richard Curtis (born in 1956), whose partner (they married after many years in 2023), a popular broadcaster Emma Freud, was (and still is) a DC fan.
