Mike Read is another celebrity who supports our campaign. Music Walk Of Fame Stone Honour For David Cassidy. Thank you so much. We are so, so grateful.
Mike Read, another legendary dj, journalist, writer and tv presenter. He worked with Radio 1, he was a television host for Top Of The Pops and children's programme 'Saturday Superstore' (also legendary), and music panel game 'Pop Quiz'. But this is not everything. He is a real renaissance man, he writes songs, sings, performs in musicals and last but not least in 2013 Mike Read and 3 friends founded the British Plaque Trust. Such a busy man, but he's found time for David Cassidy and us, his fans. Let's first see David and Mike Read on Saturday Superstore, March 21, 1985

Mike Read wrote to us yesterday :
'His face smiled from millions of bedroom walls, he sold millions of records and made millions happy. I both worked and socialised with David. We shared many fascinating times over lunch, tea or dinner and he was a guest at my home on occasions. His incredible contribution via songs, theatre and tv unquestionably warrants a place on the Music Walk Of Fame'. Yes, so true.
But let's return to 'Get It Up For Love'. Such a fabulous song, just irresistible. I've found some enthusiastic reviews from 1975. 'David's latest disk is an unusually rhytmic track (..) the whole thing sizzles with what you need for a top ten perch. David's vocal interpretation of this infectious tune make it hard to miss. Go to it!' (Cashbox Mag, June21, 1975)
And Dave Thompson-' 'Get It Up For Love has a pulsating urgency that utterly overcomes the (deliberate) innuendo of the title..'
So it's really difficult to understand the audience, those girls so lucky to hear that song and be so close to David..
