A Great Performer At Work

A David Cassidy's concert from 2003 has been added to the website. A video, not great quality, shaking image, at times unrecognizable sound, some noises and sounds of other music and conversations. A highway behind the scene..An outdoor concert, from February 22, 2003. Gulfstream Park (a horseracing track), Hallandale, Fl. Impossible to say how many people was in audience, but it  was an  enthusiastic crowd, some  fans brought the old DC and Partridge Family's albums with them. The security men telling people to push back..

In 2003 DC played 32 concerts, only in the USA, and that particular one was the first that year. David Cassidy, 52, in great shape, a white Tshirt, black pants/trousers (as my English friends say), a wristwatch..that's all. It was a great, rock concert.

He started with 'Hush'. Let's see him performing it in 2007, in London

So I've been watching and maybe because of that raw recording ..it was like being there, in that crowd watching a great performer at work. David Cassidy was a born entertainer, so dedicated/devoted to what he did, he played guitar, sang of course, talked  and squeezed outstretched hands, tried to have a personal contact with as many fans as possible. He also remembered about his band, what was going on behind his back..Amazing. And at one moment he played 'CC Rider' and I thought about the 70s concerts..

And especially about the Sydney's famous gig from March 1974. Of course in Australia there were thousands, a huge screaming crowd, it was so hot and windy, but ..David was the same, age didn't matter, he was so concentrated on his job, on his performance, on giving the best he could..bringing joy and love.

  1. Hi Weronika, thank you so much for sharing these concert videos! I never had the opportunity to see David in concert (although I did see him in "Joseph" twice, and he was really great in it!), so I always enjoy watching videos of David's concerts! Like you, they make me feel like I am right there. I love to see the way he enjoyed it so much, and shakes hands with his fans, and makes his audience so happy, and always makes me so happy too! Thank you so very much again for doing such a great blog for David and us!
