Before writing a new entry I usually go for a 3 mile walk and think about what I'm going to write about. And it works for me beautifully.

But recently I've been very busy and had no time for walking or thinking about DC and my blog. So I don't know how this entry will look like and where it will take me. I only know that I want to write about that David's pic found a few days ago on Pinterest.

As you can see it was taken on the set of one of the episodes of The Partridge Family. Season 3, Episode 17, 'I Left My Heart In Cincinnati', first aired January 26, 1973. A pic taken between the takes.

DC must have been very happy, because Johnny Lee Bench was a very famous baseball player. He is a true legend, actually just 2 years older than David. And as we know DC was a great baseball fan. But the reason I just love that pic is that it shows how they really looked like together. This is the fragment from the episode (btw more than 10k views)

Of course Johnny Bench is a great guy, a professional athlete, and DC..wasn't tall, but it's funny how on the set they tried to show him taller than in reality. It was easier during the musical numbers of course..and it was also a reason why Dave Madden rather sits than stands on the set. Of course we always looked at David through the eyes of love. And nothing has changed..For us he is "a giant, a man who's tall as can be, any fool can see.."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing today's blog just to gossip about DC's private life, it's because I always admired that amazing woman, Kay Ann Lenz. She had birthday yesterday. 3 years younger than David, a few years older than a typical DC's fan.  In the 70s I heard quite a lot about Kay Lenz . She was very popular in Poland, like the rest of the cast of 'Rich Man, Poor Man'. Let's first listen to something which was not released, why they didn't want David singing that song is a great mystery for me. Listening to his young, sincere, innocent and magical voice is one in a kind moving experience. 'I Just Hated Being In The Show..'

Last week someone posted a screenshot of the article from May 1974, unfortunately without the date or the name of the paper. Written by a popular journalist Roderick Gilchrist, I think it was Daily Express. We can read that this interview took place at London Weekend Television's Building, on the day before the DC's last concert in Manchester.  And David said, "I feel like the door to the cage has just been opened. And, any minute now I'm going to be able to fly right away from my prison.
