'Could you sign these eight programs for my friends..?'

'..'Sure' comes David's unhesitaiting replay and his famous smile" (RadioMirror, Jan 1972)

The Petition first. More than 800 people signed. We want more and we are ready to work for it. And of course we are very happy and grateful, it's really impressive and moving when I think about the fans who still cherish David Cassidy. He deserves that stone. We owe it to him, for the love and light he brought into our lives. For that wonderful music.

Maybe a song. One of those very rare I wasn't a fan at first. But it's just fabulous of course, David Cassidy's wonderful voice, and this video is just great, there are some of David's songs mentioned in it. 'Remember Me'.

Remembering David Cassidy.

And of course the petition and the number of signatures made me think about..how many autographs David signed during his lifetime..Millions of them.

There are a lot of photos on which David signs autographs, also  autographs were spoken about several times on the set of The Partridge Family. 'Can you sign for my mum' asks Cindy in the episode 'Whatever Happened to Keith Partridge '.

It's happend so many times in real life: ' They say anything to get an autograph' David sighs 'it's always for somebody who's sick or somebody who's dying and her last wish is to have my autograph.' (ModernScreenHollywoodYearbook, February 1972)

The unforgettable hit from that episode..

But fans didn't have to invent such stories. David knew how important his autograph was for fans.

"I've signed my name thousands and thousands of times over the last 35 years. I continue to do it because I know it means something to people and I care about them and appreciate what they've contributed to my life.' (David Cassidy: Could It Be Forever ?, 2007)

NOW IT'S OUR TURN. SIGN THE PETITION
