P.S. I Love You..
Recenty I've written a lot about Lord Montagu and The Beaulieu Tribute to David. But of course we've got another tribute in November, in Liverpool. In a very special place. Strawberry Fields, we all know that name, immortalized by John Lennon in one of his the most famous songs.
There was a Salvation Army children's home in the grounds known as Strawberry Fields, and John's aunt Mimi's house backed on to. John Lennon used to play there when he was a kid. And now, since 2019, the place is open to the public and people from all over the world keep coming there. There are a lot of attractions, among them the John Lennon 'Imagine' piano. It was bought in 2000 for 3 million US dollars by...George Michael, who was a great The Beatles fan, and it was always George's intention that the piano should be in Liverpool. There is a great video on YT where you can see the place, some great John's and George's pics, and the famous piano..

Strawberry Fields..and now their paths have crossed again. John's, George's and our David's. Because there is a path there, called Strawberry Lane, that runs from the gate to the front entrance of the new visitor's centre. On that path there are stones with inscriptions, and on 18 November, 2022, the stone to remember and celebrate David Cassidy, this 5th anniversary, was laid in the lane. David Cassidy All My Loving
The stone was purchased on behalf of The David Cassidy Legacy Group of Great Britain, and the words chosen as a Beatles reference for David Cassidy, and he gave, and we gave..All My Loving..

Liverpool, after London, became the place to visit for all David's fans. This is the second tribute to DC there. Since summer 2021 there is a brick on the People's Path, at the Anglican Cathedral, which overlooks Liverpool from high above the City.
And The Echo Arena (now The M&S Bank Arena), so close to The Beatles Story Museum, was where David Cassidy last performed in the UK, on the 17th of November 2012, 10 years ago, and that visit his last time being in the UK..

Thank you so much Pauline Tombs for all that info, and it's because of you and our conversation in London a few days ago that I've written that entry today. Hope one day we'll go to Liverpool together. Thank you my friend. xxx
