Why We Love David Cassidy

I've been watching today the DC concert from 2012, the recent updade on the website. How not to love him. He was a great singer.

June 30, 2012. South Point Casino, Las Vegas. Thank you Lucio so much for this extraordinary gift for all of us. Great editing, wonderful sound, more like a doc from a concert not just a video. Very moving pics with fans. In general you can feel like actually being there.

It's so moving that it's simply impossible to watch it at one time. I couldn't. Even that it's not a whole concert, but first 52 minutes

DC singing the Monkees. First heard him performing 'Valleri'. Great remix version of 'I'll Meet You Halfway', such fun for him and some lucky ladies. And to have Happy Birthday singing by DC. When he had some technical problems while playing the guitar and singing  'Ain't No Sunshine', I remembered how in 1974 in spite of the heat and those shoes hitting the stage he was doing exactly the same. Talking with us, his fans, and singing for us..He loved doing it all his life. He loved making us happy..

David Cassidy was a professional entertainer, it was a Saturday night in Las Vegas, it was a show, he was joking, dancing and laughing with the audience..But there was one moment he had tears in his eyes..In My Life..Very moving performance.

I wish we had a whole concert, there were some great songs left, 'Cherish', 'ITILY', and the band intro with DC singing 'Superstition', but what we've got it's great. And while I've been watching I remembered what someone (sorry but I don't know who) wrote after November 21, 2017 :

'He gave us a lot to enjoy and to think about. When he passed away he took a little piece of each of us..'

  1. Hi Jane and Weronika, thank you so much for sharing this! I have never seen this concert before. David was always so wonderful with his audience. I really loved it when he asked the ladies to go up and shake his hand. I would have loved to kiss his hand too. That was so sweet the way he sang "Happy Birthday" to Colette too! All of you who were able to go to David's concerts were so blessed! I was so blessed to see him in "Joseph" twice! I love the way he sang all these songs, especially "In My Life." We are so blessed to have this blog, DavidCassidy.com, and so many wonderful videos of David! Thank you again, David, for giving us so much, and thank you all, who are so kind to share these things with us!
