'I Wouldn't Miss It For The World
This time I start with the PETITION, we cherish each and every signature, 1284 fans have thought that David Cassidy is good enough to have his stone..The London Music Walk of Fame.
David Cassidy and his fans, amazing story of love and in some cases serious obsession, DC had some stalkers, in every decade. There were difficult situations for him and his loved ones. In the 70s several times he feared for his life, and in every decade there were some fans aggressive and demanding, who thought they owned him..
DC lost his patience a few times during concerts or public appearances, but of course it's absolutely understandable. There was only one David and millions of fans, day in and day out, all his life he heard how he was loved by strangers, how important for them was meeting him, just for a moment. He signed millions of albums, posters, pics, books and tshirts, kissed and hugged who know how many ..strangers. Of course they were fans.. He always understood that connection, that love, that responsibility..

DC was always aware, a few jurnalists wrote about it already in 1971.
And yesterday I watched 2 videos about the special meeting DC had with fans (137 of them) on Isle of Wight, in November 2008. Let's see the first video, happy fans going..and very tired and moved, and a little bit pensive David after the event..

Yes, he must have been tired. Jamie White wrote an article called : 'Friends Reunited by Evergreen Teen Idol'. The day long event too part at Cowes Yacht Haven, and DC invited each fan on to the stage for a minute (??) to ask questions and have photo taken with him. There was a buffet too with light lunch and drinks. Everybody said how David was happy, stayed longer than he intended, and missed his plane..
Each fan paid £299. That was a lot of money, and some fans came from the US and later saw DC in concert, 3 times, This Could Be The Night (3) Tour, On Nov 14 - Glasgow, 15- Manchester, 16- London.
The next day after the meeting DC appeared on The Five Thirty Show, very tired and still having troubles with his voice after talking all day long with his fans..

Doris, the fan from the USA said - 'it costs me a fortune but it's well worth it. I wouldn't miss it for the world..'

Hi Weronika, thank you so very much for this! I love the video of the 4 girls (fans) who were asked, "What would you do if you could meet David?", and he came in the room and surprised them all! I love this video! I have seen it many times, and I always love to see how happily surprised they were to see him! I wonder where they are now, and if they are still fans? I pray that they are. Thank you so much also for sharing the video of David's Meet & Greet at the Isle of Wight! One of my David friends was so blessed to be there to meet David, have her picture taken with him, and see him in concert in Glasgow and Manchester! Don't you wish that we could have been there to meet him, too?! And, thank you so much also for sharing the beautiful pics and video of David on the Five Thirty Show! Thank you so much again for this great blog, complete with such beautiful pictures and great videos!
