Could It Be Forever / Wes Farrell, Danny Janssen
I'm still impressed by David's recovered recordings from Spain. It's really a miracle, they have appeared on YT out of the blue. And it's made me wonder why it always looked like that.
I mean why it's just depends on the case that something appears. Why no one ever thought, someone close to David, that it was worth archiving his career, that it was important. Fans have been doing this for years, The David Cassidy Official Website is huge thanks to them, but basic information is still missing, concerts' set lists for example, we even don't know if all concerts are listed. Enough. That's the way it is and I'm sooo happy we now have those precious videos.

And another thing..Why such a poor, weak response ??? The videos have been on YT for 5 days and just below 1k views each. Jane has published them on the website, she has taken really great screen shots..and after 24 hours not many 'likes', not many comments. I can't understand it really. New videos, and David in 1973 was beautiful beyond words really, and first of all great quality live recordings. And not many 'likes', views and shares.. Maybe Jane should have explained the meaning of that discovery, but the screenshots and the videos speak for themselves..

'Could It Be Forever' singing live by David in 1973. He sang that hit during his European Tour, interesting if with the famous 'but' or without it. In 1974 this song fell out of his repertoire. In 1985 it was his the UK tour opener.
'Could It Be Forever' is a pop masterpiece, Wes Farrell knew how to create a great hit and he also knew very well his star. David was not only a very talented singer but first of all an actor. It's so audible in that song, a certain theatricality, it could have been great musical number. And not easy to sing.
It's so moving seeing and hearing 23 year old David Cassidy singing 'Could It Be Forever' on Estelar Del Sabado. He made a mistake, twice sang 'I touched you once, I kissed you once', truly speaking it happened to David from time to time. I think he didn't noticed it, but I'm sure he very consciously omitted the word 'but'. I really prefer that way.
I always remember watching him, that David Cassidy was an actor very aware what impression he made. His smile, his eyes, long lashes..he knew what to do to seduce the audience. But I think on that program he was also very happy himself, it was something unusal for him in 1973, to sing live for no screaming audience, for people who actually listened to him. It was impossible in the UK, and David couldn't appear live on Top Of The Pops. He sang there 'Could It Be Forever' many years later..
