Dimitrios Jim Salamanis has let me use this pic. Thank you so much. Jim is from Australia and has one of the biggest David Cassidy and The Partridge Family memorabilia collection in the world. He is not just the owner of many priceless items including the David's concert outfits, his is a real collection, organized in thougthful way, with great attention to every element. I wonder if Jim has a calalogue of the memorabilia he owns. I'm a former librarian ..

Let's see and hear once more David Cassidy singing 'Cherish' in Australia, in 1974. I love this version and that video. 'No more shoes..'. He worked so hard in these insane conditions.

A few days ago Jim posted this pic, it's from Australian teen magazine called 'Beaut". The year 1974, it was David Cassidy special issue, with his pic on the cover, inside a contest and the main prize was a lock of David's hair. And Super Giant Colour Pin Up. 

Of course I've seen this pic many times, David Cassidy the all American-boy, so close and so inaccessible, btw. no one could have had such white teeth, no one looked like him, you could only admire in wonder such perfection and ..put him on a wall. Pin-ups..first there were women, beautiful and semi-naked, beautiful objects to pin onto a wall and admire. Later beautiful boys..Like David Cassidy. 

This pic has also  made me think about DC in Australia in 1974, how extremely lucky we are to have so much info, articles, interviews, memories, and of course great videos. To see the remastered, whole version of that great documentary, 'To Australia With Love' is really something extraordinary.

I watch this video once in a while and every time I'm impressed by young David Cassidy's honesty, commitment, hard work and his loneliness..he was so lonely in the middle of it. 
We have also one more amazing video, David Cassidy at TV Week Logie Awards, it was held at Southern Cross Hotel in Melbourne, and he met Gina Lollobrigida during that ceremony.


There is a list of his concerts in Australia on the website, some pics and some concert set lists, and an amazing concert audio, not good quality I'm afraid, but really something. I wish also something could have been done with those old audios, now there are a lot of audio enhancers avaliable.

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971..And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago..And I really felt sad yesterday because of Robyn. His parents were young and glamorous working actors. Jack Cassidy was 23 years old, Evelyn Ward 3 years older, both very busy with their career, frequently touring and absent. It's from Kevin Fallon's article published on www.thedailybeast.com on November  22, 2017.  Maybe it's not the smartest thing to do, but the newest article about David Cassidy on Record Collector Magazine, and first of all different pointsview of it, made me have a look on some articles published after this horrible day,  November 21, 2017.
