'Didn't We Have Ourselves Some Kind of a Summer..'

Yes, we did. And he knew how we loved him. We thought there was still so much time. For us to enjoy his concerts, new songs, interviews, new pics, his letters to us..For him to celebrate his long career and got the recognition he deserved like few others, as an artist, not a teen idol. And maybe had a happy private life.. I've thought about this song today.

Another 21st. Time doesn't stand still. Only in those horrible moments when we get really bad news. But that's the way it is and today I've spent a happy hour browsing the DC Official Website. So many interviews with only screenshots, not the actual videos. Like this pic. AM Los Angeles (whatever it is), May 1981. Why screenshots, there are 10 of them, but not the video? I have no idea. Let's watch and listen to David on John Davidson Show, June 16, 1981.

Amazing..the way he looked and his voice.

1983 is the worst. There are 21 DC's guest appearances on various American TV shows, and only 4 videos, and 1 program with screenshots. The rest are just titles and dates. I don't think it will ever change. Nearly the same with 1984, at least we have that priceless recording, the only opportunity to see David Cassidy for a short moment in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Enough of this complaining, only every 21st reminds me of the passing of time and the things that should have been done.

At the end one of my fav David's tv appearances. October 1987. Kilroy, BBC One daytime chat show. It is quite unique, not only because David Cassidy at the age of 37 looked sensational, so handsome and charming. He also looked healthy and happy. He had great success with 'Time' and was in love. And I think DC enjoyed the situation because the program started with a conversation with him, he was the star, but later he was just one in the audience, listening and taking part in discussion.
