'David Cassidy ..Climbing High With New Album'

What a shame this pic is so bad, Of course  I know other pics with DC looking down from that building at his fans, but not this particular one. I have been trying to do something with it, brighten it, reduced contrast, but it's not better.

Today's entry is about the new/old review of 'The Higher They Climb'  I got from my friend B. Let's start with the opening song from that album, David's own, just a fragment of it but so spectacular. From Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode called 'Career Move', first aired on May 22, 1988. David looked sensational in it.

What did David Cassidy think about performing his own song while playing that former rock star Joey Mitchell..That he used to perform for much bigger crowds, even more enthusiastic..It must have been a strange and difficult experience for him. And I've just discovered a new, great copy of Career Move. I'm sooo happy.

David was fantastic. Besides 'When I'm a Rock'n'Roll Star' DC sings in that film also a fragment of a song from his character's new album. It's just amazing. We have a link to it on the Website.

Let's return to the review. Chronicle Herald (obviously from the UK), the date is August 8, 1975. It's a great find because we don't have many serious, detailed reviews of DC's albums. And this review is a very nice read. "The album opens with a Cassidy original, aptly titled 'When I'm a Rock'n'Roll Star' and moves on to an excellent work of Gene Vincent's 'Be-Bop-A-Lula' complete with tasty guitar break from West Coast musician Bill House.'

And one more fragment, "..the album comes across as a successful attempt by Cassidy to prove to the world that he can rock'n'roll with the best of them and he is now a man to be taken seriously.' Oh yes.
