"Lessons From The Partridge Family"

One more entry about David Cassidy on Spotify, after all Spotify has more than 600 millions active monthly users, so I've thought that it's worth taking a look at it.

So let me tell you that David Cassidy has 152.3K monthly listeners (more than Donny Osmond or Shaun Cassidy), but The Partridge Family is more popular, 266.8K. Of course it's nothing compering to some of DC's friends ; Alice Cooper - 5M, America 10.4M, or even Kim Carnes, who once was a friend, but also his backing singer - 5.6M monthly listeners.

It's a little bit depressing, but that's the way how it is. Maybe a song, from David's album that you don't find on Spotify. And truly speaking this song is not popular on YT either.

Of course on Spotify there are podcasts dedicated to David Cassidy, and there are also podcasts where he is just mentioned in an episode.

And today I've listened to an American podcast called 'The Adam and Dr. Drew Show', because on one episode they were talking about The Partridge Family. It was published in 2019. Truly speaking I don't encourage you to listen to it, not only because their American English was rather difficult to understand, but first of all because they talked about only one TPF episode and it was just the pretext for discussion about gender quality.

This TPF episode was called "Queen For a Minute', Season 4 Ep. 16, first aired on February 2, 1974. With interesting guest stars, Tracy Brook Swope as Frankie, (Tracy was The Partridge Family and Police Story producer Mel Swope's daughter), Chris Beaumont as Jerry, and Ty Henderson as Emcee (he played on Police Story a Police Officer who offered Dan Shay a job)

Let's watch a great song from 'Queen For a Minute'.

The authors of the podcast summarised the whole episode, even Laurie's speach was presented, and than authors wondered if the world has really changed in the last 50 years. A few times it was remembered that The Partridge Family was a sitcom, not a documentary, as the authors was astonished that an ordinary family sitcom touched important topics.

Lessons from The Partridge Family.. Especially those about family life are still relevant today in my opinion. How important is to eat meals together, that a parent is for kids, listens to their problems, but also disciplines and educates them. That there are rules that must be followed..

Of course family life has changed during last 50 years, but some things never change, and recently when my grandson has his tonsils removed, he behaved exactly like Danny.
