David's Last Band.
Lanie Bray posted yesterday a pic with David and Teri Coté, taken 7 years ago, probably in October 2017.
There were some comments, that he didn't look well, and who was Teri. Yes, of course I understand. There are fans who first of all are interested in young David, the impact he had on their lives in the 70s, and only maniacs like me or Lanie (and some others) know all dates, all names and every single one recording of David.
David Cassidy was a solo act (if I can put it this way), and after his teen idol experience even more, he trusted his own instinct, he wanted to work his own way and had control. But on the other hand he was always a loyal and good team player, he learnt this in the theater, and in working with other musicians, in recording studio and performing on stage. His relationship with people with whom he recorded or played music was always extraordinary, there was often a mutual admiraton, friendship, it was intense and short-lived, another project meant another working relationship, another love affair..

btw. I'd love to make a list, index, biograms whatever we can call it, of every musician who was working for and with David Cassidy durng his long career. It would have been a very impressive and long list.
Davd's bands. This is so moving what he wrote in liner notes about recording 'Tomorrow' in 1976, "I think it was the night we cut this song that we for the first time together became a band. For me who had spend his life in the studio having fine men, who's main interest were to be fine studio players and make the next session on time, was an overwhelming trip."
David Cassidy's last band. It started when he met his 'musical brother', Craig J.Snider in 2007. He was not only a very successful producer and remixer, but also a multiinstrumentalist, with a degree in piano and composition. They became friends and Craig started touring with David. Thanks to Craig and other musicians who played with DC during those last years of his life, he never was just a nostalgia act, on the contrary. He played amazing rock and blues. The members of his band became like a family. David Cassidy, Teri Coté (his drummer), Frank Fabio, Dave Robicheau and Craig J. Snider, achieved an extraordinary music level. And mutual understanding.

Just amazing...
Teri Coté started playing with David in 2006, the same year as Frank Fabio. She left the band after a few years and was replaced by Felipe Torres, a New Jersey man and a very experienced drummer. But Teri returned for the last concert, for David. And stayed. Together David and his band recorded 'Songs My Father Taught Me'. And besides David it was Teri Coté who was singing on this track.
I always have tears in my eyes watching this video.
