I Just Wanna Make You Happy / Wes Farrell, Bobby Hart
Bobby Hart, such an amazing career, one-half of that prolific songwriting duo, Boyce&Hart. They wrote for The Monkees (eg. The Monkees music theme and 'Last Train to Clarksville'), for The Partridge Family Bobby Hart co-wrote 'I'm On My Way Back Home' and 'Sunshine', 'Girl, You Make My Day' (with Tommy Boyce), 'Lookin' For a Good Time', and some others.
And one more connection, he co-wrote 'Hurt So Bad'. He still lives, was born in February 1939.

Fans have started writing about upcoming seventh anniversary, time is running so fast, and the world has changed so enormously since November 21, 2017. Strange to think that DC never heard about Covid or AI..
We remember so well that moment when we learnt that DC was in hospital. Barb Schlamp Collentine wrote yesterday about her memories of that day, on David Cassidy Vrtual Fan Club, and a lot of fans wrote very moving comments. Oh yes, we remember that day, like it was yesterday.
I wasn't a fan at that time, but I used to read Daily Mail on line (it was for free), and they really liked writing about David. Anytime he had some problems, there was an article about a former teen idol, how he had everything and..you know. How he looked like in the 70s and how his looks changed. I always thought to myself, 'Leave the man alone! You loved him once so much, and now..' When I read about DC in hospital, I thought that everything would be fine, he was still not old, and I had no idea how serious it was..

I was in London a few times on November 21, it was always a very poignant day. But this year I want this day to be different for me. First of all I owe it to my older daughter. She wants to make a 2025 calendar for me, with the dates important for our family, and she asked me to write down some dates regarding David to be included in this calendar. As if he had become a member of our family, it really touched me that she thought about it.
So I've started writing, the date of his birth, death, Jack Cassidy's death in a fire..and stopped. No, no, no. Let's write only dates of happy events, so that every date is a reason to smile. His Broadway's debut, all his number - one singles (and an album), when he got Gold Medal Award for The Most Promising Actor, his MGM concert, and an Emmy nomination, the day he married Kay Lenz, 'Blood Brothers'' premiere, the day Sweet Vendetta won, you know the days David Cassidy was really happy himself. And the dates of his fans' achievements, The Phoenix Theatre's plaque, The Las Vegas Star, and the next year's West Orange Historical Marker. Yes!!

And it happens that this year on November 21 I'll be on holiday, and I'm going to listen to his music on the beach, remembering the joy and happiness he brought to millions all over the world..
