'I'm Very Conscious of How I Look'

Jane published 40 new articles on the website, it was two days ago, and like a true David Cassidy's maniac I have read all of them today. But maybe a song first, my number 1 during my last week holiday at the seaside.

It's hard to believe this low number of views, 'Rosa's Cantina' is just sparkling with joy and laughter, makes you dreaming about holiday and having good time somewhere where is really hot, dancing and laughing, and I love the lyrics, like always DC didn't need many words to convey the mood of a song. And his magical voice, sure boys had fun recording this one.

Let's return to the articles. We are constantly looking for something new, so are they bring any new info? Yes, a little bit, nothing really big, but I'm very glad I've read them.

So e.g. in the article published on Vancouver Sun, on August 21, 2006, we can read more about how David was marketed in the 70s, how his image was exploited. "I had an aunt who called me (..) She was in New York and I was in L.A. doing (Partridge Family) the show. 'I saw a full-size cutout of you with your arms out, and they were hanging David Cassidy dresses on your arms.' This was at Macy's at Christmas, okay? Needless to say they didn't ask me for approval about the dresses. 'Yeah, I love that dress. That looks very good on me."

Or (also from 2006) David Cassidy as a special gift for Mother's Day..I really don't know what to think about it.

In this one there is a wonderful pic of David and Danny and some more info on how Danny Bonaduce at last learnt to play 'Doesn't Somebody'.

There are a lot of concerts' and books' (Allison Pearson's and Davd's) reviews. Articles about fans in their 40s and 50s still crazy about David, following him everywhere. Some articles are rather sad, especially those from the last years of his life, or this one about his stolen ring and reward for it..

And last but not least, Nina Myskov interview with David Cassidy, published on November 16, 2001. The title of today's entry is from their conversation. A lot of personal details, about DC's diet and health problems, and how important for him was to be fit. I recommend to have a look at all of those articles, they are great and very moving read..
