What 23-year-old David Cassidy could know about time..

Kim Carnes and Dave Ellingson were a few years older, but still under 30. And when you are young you just can't imagine how fast time can pass. But together, those young people wrote an amazing, poignant, universal and timeless song. 

I love how David performed it in Australia. Of course it was also an opportunity for him to sit down for a few minutes, it was so hot that day, performing in those conditions was so demanding, there were breaks and the stage was wobbling, he was afraid of fans' and his safety, but when he was singing 'Can't Go Home Again' he gave 100%, and the audience stopped screaming..

Yes, time. We've had such a long, hot summer this year in Poland. I thought it would never end, and now it's November. 'Happened unexpectedly' as David was singing about love in 1976. So many years ago..

For David Cassidy November was always a special month, a lot was happening. He was playing memorable concerts, in November 2002 in Australia, in November 2008 and 2012 in the UK. tv guest appearances - eg in 1977 on The Partridge Family/My Three Sons Reunion.

Some great David Cassidy's albums were released in November, and I think it was always emotional moment for him. The Partridge Family Christmas Card in 1971, The Partridge Family Notebook in 1972, 'A Touch of Blue' in 2003 and maybe not so great, but nevertheless he wanted to record those songs again. David Cassidy Christmas EP in 2016.

And quite a lot of episodes of TV series with David was first aired in November. In 1968, The Survivors Episode 7,  in the years 1970-1973, 4 new episodes of The Partridge Family were shown, and 4 episodes of 'David Cassidy-Man Undercover' in 1978, 'The Love Boat' in 1980, 'Malcolm In The Middle' in 2003. 

He achieved some of the greatest successes of his career in November. In 1973 'Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes' became #1 in the UK and it was in November 1990 when he returned on the Billboard chart. That must have been so wonderful to have a Top30 hit at home.

But of course the most important is November 21st. In 1970 it was the day of his glory, the biggest success. He was only 20 years old. 47 years later..

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971..And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago..And I really felt sad yesterday because of Robyn. It's from Kevin Fallon's article published on www.thedailybeast.com on November  22, 2017.  Maybe it's not the smartest thing to do, but the newest article about David Cassidy on Record Collector Magazine, and first of all different pointsview of it, made me have a look on some articles published after this horrible day,  November 21, 2017.
