'Let David Cassidy's Life Inspire You'
I couldn't have wished myself the better entry at the end of this year. What a great article by Linda Higgins.
But first a song, there is a connection with today's entry. David Cassidy still making us happy. And I'm always happy while listening to this song. I especially adore DC's voice when he was in his late 20s. More mature, rich and deep, even more (if it's possible) dreamy and soulful. The lyrics is about lost love, but I have an impression he really enjoyed recording it. He sang it so effortlessly, almost like he did it without any rehearsals, but of course David Cassidy had an enormous talent, but talent is nothing without hard work, and we know that he was always a perfectionist.

Btw. how I wish someone made a video with this song, with DC's pics from Man Undercover, Police Story or even Fantasy Island, but not from TPF. David Cassidy recorded it in 1979.
Yesterday while looking for something on the website I read an article that I have known for years and never thought much about it, but yesterday it really made me think, and I also found it very moving and very inspiring. Written by Linda Higgins, called 'Talent Survives', it was published in 2015, and with the article was one of the best Henry Diltz' photographs of David Cassidy (from his tour in Australia, in 1974.)
This is a great video, fragment of the doc we all know so well ('To Australia Wth Love), David explaining why he doesn't like talking with anyone before a concert, we can see him with his band, and the concert itself. We've been celebraiting the 50th anniversary of his World Tour this year.

But let's return to the article. Linda Higgins is one of those many fans who rediscovered David Cassidy again, after many years that they had a crash on him in the early 70s. (In my case it happened after November 2017). I don't want to deprive you of the pleasure of reading this article on your own, so just a few the most important fragments. I 100% agree.
"Even though acting was David's first love, clearly he was meant to make music"
"..he used his talent to become an instrument of happiness for millions of people. This is quite a gift, because when people are happy, they put positive energy out into the world, making it a better place."
"If you are going through your own struggles, let David Cassidy's life inspire you to know that no matter what happens, your talent will survive."
