Stop Me In My Tracks David's Songs
Or the 4th anniversary of my blog, btw it's called 'David Cassidy Being Together', and at first some people thought that the author was not an unknown fan from Poland, but a lucky lady who wanted to share some info on her secret life with David Cassidy. My first entry was extremely popular because of this misunderstanding.
But of course the title of the blog was from the wonderful Tony Romeo's song, recorded by DC for his first solo album.. The idea from the start was that we fans, would share our love and info about David Cassidy. 'Being together is my kind of fun..we wanted to share for a while a tear or a smile.'

I must say that I'm very proud of myself, and in my wildest dreams I wouldn't have suspected that I would be writing a blog about David Cassidy for so long. And people would keep reading it. Sure there were breaks in my writing, a few times I thought about finishing it for good, and even once nearly delated it, all entries, after some tiring and nasty comments. Marjon Hoogendam-Landmeter saved my blog by telling me what DC told her when she had similar problems while running the Dutch DC fanclub. 'Don't let them hurt you', that was the advice and I always remember it.
I've been writing about I think everything connected with David Cassidy, but the most important for me always has been his music. And today in the time we all are supposed to be merry, I want to write about my fav David Cassidy's songs. I love all of them, and it's just for fun, and I hope it'll make you smile and think about your favourites, but nevertheless for me some David's songs are more important than others, I call them, 'stop me in my tracks songs' and it happens anytime I listen to them.
It's easy with Partridge Family's songs. No 3. 'I'm On My Way Back Home', No 2 'Twenty-Four Hours A Day' and No 1 is also from 'Sound Magazine'. Written by David (with a little Wes Farrell's help). His masterpiece.

And now mission impossible, one song from each DC solo album. So from 'Cherish'

From 'Rock Me Baby', that was very easy, 'How Can I Be Sure'. From 'Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes' - ''Bali Ha'i'. From 'Cassidy Live! - 'For What It's Worth'. The Higher They Climb'..

'Home Is Where The Heart Is' - 'Half Past Our Bedtime'. 'Gettin' It In The Streets' another DC's own, great song.

Romance- 'Heart Of Emotion', 'David Cassidy' - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams', 'Didn't You Used To Be' - 'One True Love'. 'Old Trick, New Dog', I know that it's not a popular choice, but I love this one

From 'A Touch Of Blue' - 'Since I Fell For You'. Uff that was hard and enough of this, because there are also amazing unreleased songs, those he performed on stage or TV programs.. what an amazing music legacy David Cassidy's left us. He was a great singer and wonderful songwriter. And we are so lucky being his fans..
