'Your Magic's Worked Its Trick On Me'
Yes, it was exactly like this with me yesterday, like with a fan in 'Betty And the Werevolves' song about David Cassidy.
While watching (that was a pure accident) an old DC's interview, I realized at one moment that I was smiling when he was smiling at me, and it was rather weird, because I knew pretty well that this interview was recorded more than 34 years ago. And I remembered what Shaun Cassidy said of his brother, 'He also has our father's great humour and great charm and great charisma when he wants to.' (David Cassidy : Could It Be Forever?', 2007, p.57. Exactly.
Let's first watch (no, not the interview, it will be later), but DC working his magic on one of his fans.

It's just amazing, the one and only David Cassidy. Thank you so much Mat Gurman for sharing this precious, unique copy with us. Wonderful.
Let's return to the interview. There are over 600 DC's TV guest appearances listed on The David Cassidy Official Website. Not as many videos, in many cases we have only the title of the program and the date. Sometimes only the year. It hurts to know, that e.g we can't see Grand Opening of White Discount Store in Hollywood, recorded on November 5, 1970. We can only read that 20-year-old DC was present there, and performed several Partridge Family songs..Or Good Morning America from July 23, 1979 with David Cassidy and Kay Lenz guest appearance..
Some of those videos are very short, from different kinds of information programs, some are just publicity recordings. Local and national. Amercan, European and Australian. Variety shows. Game shows. Documentaries. Sometimes DC is just one of the guest stars. During his long career he was interviewed by the most famous and iconic TV personalities, the list is very long. We appreciate each one of them.
But I think we don't have this particular video on the website, at least I couldn't find it among others from 1990, I also can't remember ever watching it.
It was called 'David Cassidy With Barry Roskin Blake', an interview from 1990. I know nothing about Barry Roskin Blake, but I love what he wrote about DC - 'He is gone now but will never be forgotten. I will greatly treasure the multiple times I was able to talk with him'
And I even love more that we can't see Barry Roskin Blake during this interview, we can only hear his questions. The camera is focused only on David, and he looks straight into camera, straight into the eyes of the viewer..A powerful experience.
