When Love's Talked About / Wes Farrell, John Bahler and Tony Asher

Oh yes, it's true. 'When love's talked about, love is through, it's run out of me, it's run out of you (...) when love's talked about, it's too late, so let's not talk it out or it'll turn to hate.' Really some lyrics of PF's songs were so mature and serious, but DC always had big smile on his face performing them.

I've been binge watching The Partridge Famly during the last few evenings. It's started with Valentine's Day. A big day for commerce and kids, but rather irritating for me to see those countless DC's pics with hearts and roses. And mostly the present tense used. Yes, I understand, he became our dream boy more than half a century ago, and he stuck there, forever. It's not important really, that if David Cassidy lived he would have been 75 years old in April and we all are middle aged now.

And because of severe weather and not being well I had to stay at home. It was really hard for me, I'm used to daily long walks, and I don't know how and why but I started watching the series on last Friday and finished yesterday.

It was different  than when I was watching TPF for the first time 7 years ago, and different when I was taking screenshots for the website in 2022, because now I know everything about it, the dates, the off the set stories, the guest stars, directors. all connections and cirumstances. All the songs.

Sure not everything was perfect, a lot can be said about editng and some music scenes. Keith Partridge, a superstar without money, instead with many problems at school. At home at 10 pm, asking his mother if he can invite a girl to his room..No drugs, no sex or even no cigarettes. But who cares, it's still such fun to watch.

What a shame they didn't have a chance for working together later. David and Susan. In a movie or another TV series, something written just for them. There was such amazing mutual understanding.

I've finished my TPF binge watching with The Last of Howard. Bruce Kimmel kindly shared with us some memories of the night he and David performed after hours for the passengers abroad the ship (those lucky people - David sang 'When I Fell In Love'), and  we got from Bruce the original working script pages of that episode. It's so kind of him. He is an amazing man and very busy one, Bruce Kimmel is : an actor, director, music producer, writer  (he wrote 25 books!) and last but not least a blogger. He started his blog in 2001..Can you believe it ?!
