It was extremely busy and exciting month for David Cassidy, March 1972. Of course he was busy all the time during those years of his global stardom, but March 1972 was really special. And for the most part of it he was fighting with the flu. In the only possible way he was allowed. He was taking antibiotics and painkillers. The show must go on. 

In March DC played 6 concerts, maybe the number is not very impressive, but we must remember that each time he flew from LA and after concerts often returned home. 

The first one was played on March 3, 1972, 53 years ago, at HemisFair Arena, in San Antonio, in Texas. That indoor arena, also known as San Antonio Convention Center Arena, was for years home to the San Antonio Spurs. The sitting capacity for basketball was around 10k. It was demolished in 1995.

For my very close American friend, Mary Anthony, it was the first ever concert. She was 11 years-old and she was allowed to go (it was Friday and the concert started at 8 p.m.) with a group of six neighborhood friends. Mary was the youngest, but the most devoted David's fan. She  managed to do something really special and very touching, not every 11 year-old kid would have thought about it under these cirumstances. It was a David Cassidy concert !! And Mary had a camera and she took two photos before security had return her and her friends to their seats.

The camera wasn't the best, shaking in her hands, she was just a very young girl being so close to her dream boy, to her idol. The photos are little blurry, and probably it's the reason they are so touching. I know, Ive got prints from Mary and she also sent them for The Official Website of David Cassidy. And her ticket. David Cassidy played 62 concerts in 1972,  nearly twice as many as in 1971. Never again he toured so intensively. And we have only 3 short videos from the concerts played in 1972. Madison Square Garden, Greensboro and Uniondale (Nassau County) And that's all..

Robyn Millan

  I learnt yesterday that Robyn Millan died last year. Someone published a post about the TPF's episode where she'd appeared as a guest star, 'Dora, Dora, Dora', Season 2 episode 1, aired 50 years ago, on September 17, 1971..And there was a comment about that episode that the script was poorly written, sexist etc. Maybe, no one would dare write something like that now, but the world looked different half a century ago..And I really felt sad yesterday because of Robyn.
