10 000

The number of entries for my blog. Magic of numbers, but also an opportunity to stop and look back, and even  make some conclusions. I never read my old posts, hope I don't repeat myself, so it will be interesting to do it just for once

David Cassidy is remembered all over the world. Of course I know that a reader from Hong Kong could mean an English lady who lives there, and a lot of readers have visited my blog only once and never returned back..but anyway it's an impressive list. So..

Asia :Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan,  Malaysia, Nepal

Africa - only once, one hit from The Ivory Coast.

North America - Canada, Puerto Rico, USA

Central America - British Virgin Islands

South America - Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay

Europe - Austria, Belgium,  Cyprus,  Czech Republic,  Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel,  Italy, Malta, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK of course

Australia - Australia, New Zealand

Impressive. And thank you. We are doing this for David Cassidy. Still missing him and talking about his music, his life, and what he still means for us.

There are some posts, which are more important for me than other ones, and I want to write about them once more. My top 5 so to speak.

1.https://talkingaboutdavid.blogspot.com/2021/01/billy-and-blaze.html

I'm a former librarian, Ive studied librarianship at the best Polish university, and my specialisation are childrens' books, but I've never heard about Billy and Blaze. David Cassidy introduced me to those charming stories. And now I want to translate them for my grandsons, and make an audio book . When we've had a lockdown, I started recording some short stories for my oldest grandson, he loves when granny reads him, and we've missed those precious moment together..so again DC's inspired me . Hope I will be ready with my translation for Christmas.

It's important for me because those screenshots are the first I've taken for the DC website. It wasn't easy, believe me, how to take, which to choose..And I really love Man Undercover, even if DC himself didn't like that tv series. It's a case of missed opportunities.

3.https://talkingaboutdavid.blogspot.com/2021/05/the-first-concert-short-story-written.html

I'm so proud of this, it was so unexpected, me writing a short story, just out of the blue ( and in English), and first of all, Sharron's reaction. Truly speaking I don't know why I've sent her my unfinished story, I have some very good, close English friends. It was not a rational choice, but a brilliant one. You can't imagine how I was happy and surprised when she wrote her part. Thank you Sharron, that was such a moving experience. I hope we will write together again. And thank you DC for an inspiration (again)

4.https://talkingaboutdavid.blogspot.com/2021/02/cherish-part-1-songterry-kirkman.html

While writing that post, I've made some discoveries. Pat Metheny is one of my fav artists, but I've had no idea about his 'Cherish' cover, so beautiful and moving. Also I've fallen in love with the original. It's simply a great and timless song. And last but not least..After reading that post, my sister's written to me that actually she was with us at that Pat's concert, in 1985. Sorry sis, I've forgotten about it, Of course you were..

5.https://talkingaboutdavid.blogspot.com/2021/02/then-ill-be-someone-carl-wilson-tandyn.html

A very important post for me, writing about those difficult for DC's years, and 'Then I'll Be Someone', one of the most memorable David's performance. I love this song and that video.
