David Cassidy's tv appearances..A lot of hard work , scripts and rehearsals and makeup, and talking about the same things all over again, I know this is showbusiness , and tv talk shows especially in the US are very popular . 'Oprah' still remains the highest - rated talk show in American tv history. In 2008 the programme was still aired nationally with an average audience above 7 million..For David his appearance on it meant that he was a big star. He talked about his career, his loneliness while on top, TPF, the friendship with John Lennon, his children..The audience was very happy, dancing and singing with him..I don't know..DC looked happy and very satisfied, and he talked a lot..he was really a very good actor , David was....'always the same routine..'

On May 16th he had his greatest moment of glory as a horse breeder and horse owner. The horse bred and co-owned by him , 3 year old Sweet Vendetta (what a great and true name!) won in the mile and eighth Grade II, $ 200 000 Black-Eyed Susan stakes, at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore , Maryland. That race , besides two others , is the most prestigious race in the US , they are unofficially known as the Filly Triple Crown. Black Eyed Susan was inaugurated in 1919, and for David that victory was like a dream came true, one of the happiest moment in his life. Here we can see the end of this race, a conversation with the jokey, and two very happy men - Garry Contessa and David Cassidy

David said that it was the biggest win of his career. But one month later, Team Penny Raicing, co-owner of Sweet Vendetta, decided to sell her..
On Monday, August 11th , 2008 David Cassidy was at the fundrising gala for the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Council , at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga. He said :
'Tonight. I'm publicly stating that I am an alcoholic. I was in denial about it. 3 weeks ago I came out of the Betty Ford Center.(..) This is my favourite place in the world (Saratoga). I played here in 1972, '73, '74. And what was ironic when I drove up was that I realized this journey has been going on for many years'.
' And the journey is now, every day , 24 hours , to stay sober.' Sue and Beau were by his side...
We fans, were always on his side ..
