I Write The Songs (Again). And Some Anniversaries

There are not many important dates regarding David in June, especially compared to May, but it's worth writing about these few. Let's start with a song.  The Partridge Family had three Top 10 hits in the US during its short career. "I Think I Love You', #1, 'Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted', #6, and on June 12, 1971 "I'll Meet You Halfway' peaked on Billboard Hot 100 at #9. Written by Wes Farrell and Gerry Goffin, first released on Up To Date, the second group's studio album, in February 1971. A very special song, one of the most loved by fans, David performed it in 1971 and 1972, in Australia in 1974. Returned to it in 1991. Also on 'This Could Be The Nigh Tour, in the UK, in November 2008.  We can hear David Cassidy and his band singing it at the beginning of 'The Last Session' doc, aired for the first time on June 11, 2018. How we, fans, argued about this doc. And now, after 8 years, this is still the only film about David...
