This is a post on some of David Cassidy's concerts from 2013 , and that year  he appeared on stage 25 times , and in 9 cases with another former teen idol ,  actor - singer , Peter Noone.

Peter Noone became the lead singer of Herman's Hermits when he was just 15 (born 1947). The group was from Manchester , and from 1964 to 1968 they were very popular , and really huge in the US with 2  Top 1 hits there. They were known in Poland too, their songs  were still  played on our radio in the 70s. I loved 'No Milk Today' written by a teen ..Graham Gouldman , and especially 'The End Of The World' . It's a song known from a lot of  other versions , but I love Peter Noone's cover.

Peter left the group in 1971, and ..that's really funny, because  his first solo song was written by David Bowie , and Bowie even played the piano on it. 3 years later he wanted to make some music with another former teen idol..David Cassidy. I wonder why??

Peter Noone performed in musicals , on Broadway, wrote and recorded songs. He still has a very loyal fan base , his fans call themselves 'Nonnatics' , he is a great showman and a very happy family man. He married his Mirella on his 21st birthday , and their marriage still going strong. One more song.

On Jan27th, on Feb1st and 2nd, 2013, David played 3 concerts with Peter Noone , who sang his hits in the first part of those  gigs. And later that year they played 6 special concerts called ' David Cassidy Presents The World's Greatest Teen Idols : Peter Noone , Micky Dolenz' . The reviews were enthusiastic , that they were in great form,  had a lot of fun , and it was obvious that David was very happy to be the part of such a team. They were backed by a great band which included members from the bands of each of them.  Just watch and listen how they enjoyed singing together.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing today's blog just to gossip about DC's private life, it's because I always admired that amazing woman, Kay Ann Lenz. She had birthday yesterday. 3 years younger than David, a few years older than a typical DC's fan.  In the 70s I heard quite a lot about Kay Lenz . They Said I Changed A Lot..

Let's first listen to something which was not released, why they didn't want David singing that song is a great mystery for me. Listening to his young, sincere, innocent and magical voice is one in a kind moving experience. 'I Just Hated Being In The Show..'

Last week someone posted a screenshot of the article from May 1974, unfortunately without the date or the name of the paper. Written by a popular journalist Roderick Gilchrist, I think it was Daily Express. We can read that this interview took place at London Weekend Television's Building, on the day before the DC's last concert in Manchester.  And David said, "I feel like the door to the cage has just been opened. And, any minute now I'm going to be able to fly right away from my prison.
