The 80's ..Basia..Tim and Keith

Basia Trzetrzelewska (even for me her last name is not easy to pronounce), a fantastic singer,  started her career in Poland, in the 70s, but I first heard about her when she had a hit with Matt Bianco in 1984. At the time I thought what a happy song it was, obviously I didn't listen to lyrics.. This is  such a nice song and...it makes me want to dance..

Our censors didn't know what to say about her success, a singer who stayed behind the Iron Curtain, but when she had a great hit in America with 'Time and Tide', she became very known here too. btw..so many artists who worked with David Cassidy made later quite a big career, that means that he worked with the best,  talented people, and maybe they learnt something from him too..Here is Basia and my her's favourite  song,  she is a co-writer, arranger and producer  of  that really outstanding track.

Amazing, I love it..That was in 1990, and in 1984 Basia did backing vocals on David Cassidy's album 'Romance'. On the only one,  title song. I'd love to know something more about that collaboration. She wasn't an unknown figure in London at the time, Matt Bianco already released their first album..Of course  they could have never met, David and Basia,,Maybe I should write to her and ask, she will  play concerts in Poland next year..

I've already written about George Michael on 'Last Kiss' and his friendsip with David.https://talkingaboutdavid.blogspot.com/2021/06/the-last-kiss-alan-tarney-david-cassidy.html

And during his very succesful UK tour, in DC's band played twin brothers, Tim and Keith Atack. In the 70s they were quite sucessful (for a while) when they were in a teen band 'Child'. I never heard about Child at the time, only when my English friend B. told me about them. In the 70s she had a big crush on Tim (drums)..Truly speaking they were awful (music), but I can understand B..and Keith was not bad either..

The 70s..In 1978 'Child' were voted the most popular UK band amongst teenage girls in a poll conducted by the mag 'Fab 208' . But soon there was the end of their career, and Keith and Tim became session musicians. Keith wrote a really moving tribute to David, this is a video with that tribute, made by David Cassidy Great Britain Team..
