The David Cassidy Connections. Barb Collentine

I'm a librarian. A retired one, but once a librarian..And for me Louise Poynton's podcast, the collections of the conversations which have appeared on The David Cassidy Connections so far, is like a huge, very friendly library.

You can browse and choose and listen whenever you want to. Louise works very hard, and  there are still quite a lot of episodes I haven't listened to yet. The main reason is that English is not my native language, so I always need that extra free time to sit at my desk, put the headphones on, and listen.

And today I've been listening to the conversation with the American fellow fan, Barb Collentine. Let's start with a song. Barb's said that her first TPF's album was 'Up To Date', so let's listen to the Tony Romeo's masterpiece, 'Morning Rider On The Road'.

Barb Collentine, my FB's 'friend', we have exchanged some messages, and she wrote an article for my blog (published on Dec 19th last year). This is a story of The David Cassidy Virtual Fan Club, also about their meetings and guests, and Barb included some pics and links. Barb is also the President of the I Think I Love You Animal Foundation established in DC's memory. She is not afraid of risk, and she is  someone who sets goals, achieves them, and is very effective.

Great teacher's voice, she is a retired (happily) English one. The kind of voice, which can convey a lot of emotion, but also to control the class. She must have been a wonderful teacher,

That's amazing how David brings strangers together, how many times during that conversation I've wanted to say 'me too!!'. I also wanted to be 'around his stuff', in May 2018 she went to see DC's house in West Orange, and I in April 2018 was standing outside The Phoenix Theatre for the same reason, and I felt his presence..She met with some strangers, DC's fans for that first walk in New York, I flew to London to meet with ..some strangers, DC's fans, to visit Syon Park, where 'Daydreamer' video was filmed..Walking in David's footsteps..And Tony Romeo and books and words..But there is something  I envy her immensely..

She was there in audience, with her sister, and those albums you can see in this video..belong to them..Can you believe it..Amazing..

    1. Thank you Sharron. I think we all do what we can, we are on the mission, and the DC GB Group has done a lot of fantastic things, not only in London. The most important is to work together and support each other and don't waste time on ..some unnecessary issues. Time goes so fast and we should preserve any info ( everyhing should be put on the website) we must keep that flame burning. Big hug xxx
