As Time Goes By / Herman Hupfeld
A song from 'Casablanca' and a blog about celebrating David Cassidy's birthday? I explain at the end of that entry.
This year David's birthday was celebrated truly worldwide. The unforgettable gathering in Las Vegas, but also some fans met in Liverpool and in London..London, I hope to be there again in May. There are many, many places in this wonderful city connected with David Cassidy. He lived and worked in London, felt like at home.
Pauline Tombs has written for us about April 12th celebration in London.

' There weren't many of us - me, Roz Currie, Tim Edwards and just days before, we had an enquire from Paula Noverraz as what we would be doing. Not too much really but a celebration and remembrance of a special person, David Cassidy!
We all met in Foyles Book Shop ( what a wonderful choice!) on the 5th floor where we introduced ourselves to Paula, with a brief discussion of what we were about...DAVID CASSIDY!
So first we visited the Memorial Plaque at The Phoenix Theatre (the perfect place to start), next St Giles in the Fields church (known also as Poets' Church) to light candles, having supported us with a memorial table to David Cassidy, for 4 years now (also each year on the November 21st, as I saw in 2018).
Walking through the Church grounds and into the Phoenix Garden, where we have plaques to David Cassidy in wording that relates to his career, but perfectly suited to a garden on their wishing wall.
Later we had a break for a light lunch and recap with Paula who was so pleased she was joined us! Then off on the tube to White City. We visited the Hammersmith Park and the Japanese Garden. We have there the Bench Plaque and...a Time Capsule.(it's amazing)..That Time Capsule has been buried in the garden and inside there are David Cassidy memorabila, articles, pics..For someone to find in in the future..
I can't recall now how many times I have visited these different areas but always a perfect day in reminiscing someone who made a difference and continues to! Our Daydreamer.'
Thank you Pauline, hope you will visit them again in May, with me.
And 'As Time Goes By' ?..David loved 'Casablanca' and that song..and when I was celebrating his birthday I watched this video ..a lot. Recorded nearly 45 years ago..
Play it again..David
