Going to Las Vegas Part 2
I know there are fans who are not impressed..what for and why Las Vegas. What for..because we want David Cassidy to be remembered, we want people start smiling seeing his star and talking about him and start listening to his music. We want to know that we've done something to show our gratitude for all those years. Of course this event will be local, it will not change anything ..on global scale. If David is remembered then only as an icon of the 70s, and I mean in our generation. The younger ones don't know him at all..But we want to do everything what is possible.
Why Las Vegas? Fans have been working very hard, there are David's benches and plqaues, in the USA and in the UK, commemorating his theatre performances, his concerts or love for horses. He was not only and simply a singer or an actor or a songwriter, a performer, producer.etc. He was a star, multi-talented artist. And it was in Las Vegas that he could show it all. Also how an amzing showman he was..

Cassidy, 46(..) slightly built but full of rock'n'roll bravado, he was handed a script that opened up the production, enhanced the dialogue, added 3 new songs and took full advantage of his still boyish charm(..).
Where the former Partridge sibling truly does shine, is his ability to connect with the audience..'(Gary Dretzka, Chicago Tribune, Dec31, 1996)
'Having seen Cassidy here in EFX, as producer and performer in 'The Rat Pack is Back' and now starring in his own tailor-made vehicle, we are not sure we've ever seen the real David Cassidy. Is his on stage persona just a collection of well chosen derivatives..?' (Kate Maddox, Feb6, 2002, www.lasvegassun)
And one more thing..we have talked about going to Las Vegas..sadly you can't have everything, but we have written a letter to..David.
