I think, that's my opinion of course, that instead of  this song, DC should have recorded 'Crazy Over You', but he was in love, he worked with Sue on this album and last but not least the way he sings..'I can't sleep at night' makes me always.. envious.

Great song. It was a bad timing, Cher recorded it for her multi platinum album 'Heart Of Stone' in 1989. But nevertheless, DC's rare duet, in that case with his soon-to-be third wife, was very good.

But this is an entry not about DC and Sue, but a TV show which have never been made, working title, 'All Because of You'. Blame Lanie Bray, one of the administrators of David Cassidy - Greatest Fans Group. Yesterday she posted some iconic pics of those two, DC and Susan Dey...

And today while walking on the beach I've been thinking about why no one have ever thought about making a TV show just for them, let's say about two working actors trying to achieve success in Hollywood..or better two young lawyers competing with each other. They can't stand each other, they quarell, but the audience know how it would end..

Do I have to add anything..?? There was such chemistry, such a level of understanding, very good acting, the way they looked, it'd have been a sensational TV show. DC and Susan not as brother and sister, but a couple. 

Of course after Partridge Family David told many times that he would never appear in such TV show anymore, he concentrated on his music career, later they got married, Susan - Lenny Hirshan in 1976, and David - Kay Lenz in April of 1977. Susan had a daughter and David appeared on another TV show, Man Undercover..

Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing today's blog just to gossip about DC's private life, it's because I always admired that amazing woman, Kay Ann Lenz. She had birthday yesterday. 3 years younger than David, a few years older than a typical DC's fan.  In the 70s I heard quite a lot about Kay Lenz . She was very popular in Poland, like the rest of the cast of 'Rich Man, Poor Man'. That tv series was shown in my country I think in 1978, and everybody watched it, also a lot was written about the cast. So one day I read that Kay's husband was a former teen idol, David Cassidy. Let's first listen to something which was not released, why they didn't want David singing that song is a great mystery for me. Listening to his young, sincere, innocent and magical voice is one in a kind moving experience. 'I Just Hated Being In The Show..'

Last week someone posted a screenshot of the article from May 1974, unfortunately without the date or the name of the paper. Written by a popular journalist Roderick Gilchrist, I think it was Daily Express. We can read that this interview took place at London Weekend Television's Building, on the day before the DC's last concert in Manchester.  And David said, "I feel like the door to the cage has just been opened. And, any minute now I'm going to be able to fly right away from my prison.
