Crying In The Rain / Howard Greenfield and Carole King

I've thought I'll not write anything today, being rather busy, but I've just realized that tomorrow will be the 50th anniversary of the episode  # 14, from  S4.

'Two For The Show'. With Andy and David Williams.

In January 1974 DC left Partridge Family behind, (those last episodes were filmed in 1973), and at the time there were a lot of articles about his upcoming World Tour. That David would be the first pop star to play a concert at Eden Park, and also that he would be a guest of honor at the TV Week Logie Awards.

Actually quite a lot was written about the episode with Williams's twins. His uncle Andy Williams said, "The boys did the episode but with the provision that if the show is picked up by the network (in America) they will be on every week. I guess David Cassidy is ducking out and David and Andy, will be, well, the new twin David Cassidys."

In another article, from January 13, 1974 we can read about the upcoming episode, "It should be a night for every teenager to remember, when those new teen favourites, Andy and David Williams, team up with David Cassidy in 'Two For The Show'. The 14-year-old twin nephews of singer Andy Williams, current toasts of all teen magazines, will make their acting debut when they guest in the series, which shot Cassidy into world-fame as a teenage idol.'

Let's watch David (of course). This song is one of several recorded, but not released by Bell..

We can also learn from the article published on January 12th, 1974, 'Cassidy For Logies!', what DC was doing at the time."The star is presently resting up at his isolated Hawaiian retreat for the long-anticipated Australian tour". Shirley Jones hoped that the show would survive. This is the link to that very interesting article.

And Andy and David? I don't know what they do now, but in 1992 they recorded this truly beautiful song. Also about crying..
