'Rock Me Baby'..
I thought about that song yesterday when I saw a new, amazing, fascinating pic published on one of our DC groups. David Cassidy in 1976, on stage, playing the guitar, a rock star in action, Eric Carmen (also on this stage) looking at him in amazment. So let's start with Rock Me Baby. In 1974 the last David's concert number.

Yes, for the rest of the world Davd Cassidy, especially in the 70s, was a teen idol, a pop singer for little girls, but the world was wrong. DC was an amazing live performer, and he knew it. He wrote such a song himself, in 1975. 'When I'm a Rock'n'Roll Star'. And such a star we can see on this amazing photograph from 1976.
But after the loud 'WOW!' I let out after seeing the photo, I thought to myself, 'Hold On! Maybe it's another fake pic and I again don't understand the joke'. Because recently 2 fake DC's pics have been published and I felt like an 'odd man out'. And besides the pic looked brand new, amazing quality.
So I asked about info on the pic, and learnt that it was genuine, and that the fan who posted the pic, had removed a watermark from it. No comment really, and besides I know that no one cares that a watermark is to provide proof of ownership. After comparing the photo with the known old one from the same concert (that's the one I use in this blog today, it's from Pinterest), I've decided that this new pic is genuine.

And recently two fake DC pics have been published. The one made with DC on the set of The Brady Bunch TV series, and the other one with David on the cover of 'Playboy'. In both cases the original David Cassidy's pics have been used..
I asked why. And I've heard that 1. 'I like it', and 2, 'It's for fun'. Yes, but some fans have thought those faked pics were genuine. I haven't seen a single The Brady Bunch episode in my life, never. It wasn't on our TV in the 70s, I learnt about such a sitcom in 2017, when I became a fan of David.
Maybe I'm too serious, and we don't know what DC would have said about his pic on a fake Playboy cover..but at least fans should be informed.
And because today is St Patrick's Day, let's listen to DC singing 'Danny Boy (btw. the lyrics was written by an Englishman)
