'The City Boy From Manhattan'
Someone's collection of David Cassidy's pics on Pinterest is called that. And it's stuck in my head, probably because I'm very soon going to New York City myself.

Only 902 views after 3 years. Does it mean fans don't like this outstanding song penned by David all by himself? I wish we had a tribute video with this song and photos of him in New York, or with places connected wth him there.
Since I've decided to go to West Orange and take part in the celebrations (it was in January) it happened I called out a few times, "But I'm going to New York!!!". It was during conversations with 1. my dentist (about very costly and unavoidable dental procedure). 2. my mechanic (after he told me how much I have to pay for the repair of my car after martens chewed through what they could. 3. two paramedics in the ambulance when they wanted to take me to hospital. And there were other very unpleasant (and costly) surprises.
Really there were moments (quite often) during those 6 months I was ready to resign. How much bad luck you can have. But how can I resign and miss such once in a lifetime adventure. To witness the celebrations, to spend some time in places the most important for him. And of course to share this experience with friends who understand my emotions and feelings. With my dear fellow fans. We all love David Cassidy..

I considered it a very good sign when Lanie Bray found and published the whole famous David's conversation with Andy Warhol. I have no idea how she found that, I've been trying for years myself. Thank you Lanie.
It's difficult to call it an interview. Besides David and Andy there were also present Bob Colacello, a writer and Andy's main collaborator in the 70s (btw he still lives, born in 1947), and Andy's pet dachshound, Archie. And of course a OUI reporter (it was a very special magazine let's say for adults)
At the beginning of this wonderful, funny, sophisticated and witty conversation we can read, "Friday, July 25, 4 P.M. the Plaza Hotel, 59th Street and Fifth Avenue". Thanks to a happy coincidence I will fly to New York also on Friday, July 25..50 years later, but if everything goes well I might visit the Plaza in the early afternoon..
