David Cassidy West Orange Event And What Next

Yes, it was only a moment ago. But as one of the fans put it today (Anne Marie Woodruff), "Still basking in the memory of the David Cassidy West Orange event"

I think we all still have not returned from West Orange yet. We returned to our homes, our responsibilities, some to work, some gone on another holiday. We are looking at the brought souvenirs, photos, we post them on social media. Yes, we have experienced something really special. And how I'd love to return and hug everyone. That's the only thing I regret, not having spoken to everyone present. There were reasons, obviously not enough time, but also that writing is easier for me than talking, especially in a foreign language, and I have problems with hearing, but I know I've missed some opporunities for interesting conversations.

I'm sooo happy for the books I brought from West Orange, first of all 'When We're Singin'', I've started reading it, and what a great read this book is. Already a lot of new things for me, eg. I never heard about 'I'm On The Road' version with David's lead vocal. Wonderful stories and interviews like the one by Sandy Dvore, the author of the show opening title sequence. We owe Johnny Ray Miller so much, his book was published in 2016, since that time most of the heroes of this amazing real life story have passed away. I love how many details there are in the book but also that Johnny Ray Miller was not afraid of own opinions and a little bit of phatos. The book was written by fan, and it's enormous, huge achievement. Chapeau bas.

David Cassidy Day in West Orange, that would be great. In 'When We're Singin' we can read, "...another Ohio date at Idora Park, a small amusment park in Youngstown. The mayor officially declared the concert date (August 29, 1971) David Cassidy Day. (Johnny Ray Miller : 'When We're Singin', Negley, Ohio, 2020, p.49).

I've read it and ...yes! David Cassidy Day in West Orange, a great outdoor concert with professional and amateur musicians. Kids from WO high school, The Characters of course and maybe Beau would return to Colgate Park with a couple of friends to play some David's songs. And fans on stage singing together 'I Think I Love You' . That would be something.
